The MVP put together a solid performance for the Rockets in the 96-88 win over the Chicago Bulls Saturday night. After missing 3 games with a hamstring Houston was in need of The Beard.
Harden ended the night with 25 and was one of four Rockets players in double digits. James also added 7 assists and 4 steals to go along with his scoring. It wasn’t his most efficient night but it was enough to secure the victory.
Carmelo Anthony dropped in 17 of the bench. In the last few games, Anthony has been looked like the player the Rockets hoped they would acquire in this offseason.
The other James, Ennis III, contributed 15 in his second game back from injury with a solid 3-5 from beyond the arc.
Eric Gordon was absent from tonight’s performance with an abductor strain. The Rockets aren’t playing at full capacity yet but as they get healthier expect to see better overall team performances as the season progresses.
Two wins in a row is great compared to the start of the season, but they’ll need to string together more if the expect to make it back to the top of the West.
