The Houston Texans ave cut WR Bruce Ellington from the team. Ellington was currently on IR and hasn’t been available to contribute much this season. With the addition of Demaryius Thomas, it was expected that a move like this would be made.
Ellington accumulated 37 receptions for for 422 yards and 3 touchdowns in his 14 game tenure with the Texans. It was also expected that Ellington would see less playing time when the Texans drafted KeKe Coutee in the 4th round this off season to contribute in the slot.
Bruce should be able to find a home and bring some veteran help to an receiver needy team. I’m hoping for a good landing sport for Ellington who was married in the offseason and blessed us last season with the original peoples elbow TD celebration.
